Sierra’s Newest Innovation – The GameChangers

Introducing the Sierra GameChanger hunting bullets: the perfect combination of Sierra’s legendary match accuracy coupled with deadly penetration. Sierra re-engineered their legendary MatchKing bullet into a hollow point design for quick expansion and fitted it with a transparent green tip for ballistic uniformity. Inside, the GameChanger features a unique construction that utilizes a special lead alloy surrounded by a tough copper jacket that delivers excellent penetration and expansion at a variety of ranges. It’s a GameChanger on any hunt!

Are there any plans for a 22 caliber game changer 80-90 grain ? That would be great for long range coyote and varmint hunting !

Are they bonded or just gamekings with a polymer tip?

    • duanesierra says:

They are not bonded. But they are not standard GameKings either. They incorporate much heavier jackets and tougher cores.

Hello there, what are the twist requirements for the 90 grain .243 game changer bullets and also the 7mm version. Thank you

    • duanesierra says:

The GameChanger line will stabilize in the standard twist barrels for each caliber. There are no special twist requirements.

Not knowing the exact cartridge you are needing data on, I will give you this. We are using the same load data as is listed for your cartridge with a bullet of equal weight. There are just a few instances where there is no data in our Manual at this time. We are working on that.

The 165 gr. .308 measures 1.407 in length. This impacts stability and seating depth. Say I load this to 2.800 with a 1:12 barrel, are there any concerns?

I ordered some 6.5 130 gr gamechangers. Would 42.7 of H4350 be okay as far as safe? I see 42.9 is considered max load on 130 TMKs. Hope the shoot as good as they look.

Both Rifles are very accurate with these bullets.

Sierra please develop a 180grn .30 cal. with a BC better than the Hornady ELD-X.
I built the Weatherby to shoot a 180 grn bullet. Would much rather ues Seirra Bulltets.

Are you saying use the reloading info for the 130Tmk to load the 130 game changer in 6.5 creed moor, but experiment with the COAL. I’ll be using Varget powder and the starting load will be 35.8.
The 130tmk coal is 2.810 but ill start at 2.800 and work my way down to 2.790 if no visible pressure problems arise . Do you for see any problem with this coal?

    • duanesierra says:

The OAL of the 130 GameChanger will be very close to the same as the 130 TMK. We suggest that you work with the OAL to determine what fits the chamber and magazine. Then also to determine the preference of that specific firearm for best accuracy. The 2.800″ should be fine to start, just be sure that this does not “jam” the bullet into the rifling of your firearm.

I bought the load manuel last year and I do not have any load data for this bullet on a 30-06 springfield. I love the manuel because it already provided you with the best load for hunting/target. I usually load that and go up/down a few grain to see what my rifle likes. any way I can have the load data for this bullet in 308 win, 3006 Springfield, and 300 RUM?

    • duanesierra says:

Actually, the data that is in the Manual is the same data we will have for the GameChanger bullet. The GameChanger is a bit longer, so be certain to start at the minimum loads and work up.
